DirectX Advertising Policy

Purpose and Scope:

This policy governs all advertising practices of DirectX and is applicable to all employees, contractors, and agents involved in creating, publishing, and distributing advertising content for DirectX products and services.

Policy Statement: DirectX is committed to upholding the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and ethical conduct in all advertising activities. We aim to ensure that all advertising is truthful, respectful, and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

General Advertising Principles:

  1. Truthful Representation: All advertising content must accurately represent the products and services offered. Misleading or false claims are strictly prohibited.

  2. Substantiation of Claims: Any claims made in advertising must be supported by evidence and should be verifiable.

  3. Comparative Advertising: Comparisons with competitors' products or services must be factual, fair, and capable of substantiation.

  4. Compliance with Laws: All advertising practices must comply with local, state, federal, and international advertising laws and regulations.

  5. Decency and Taste: Advertising content must be free from statements, illustrations, or implications that are offensive or in poor taste.

  6. Endorsements: Endorsements or testimonials must be genuine and related to the actual experience of the endorser.

  7. Price Claims: Prices stated in advertisements must be clear and unambiguous, and any conditions related to the price must be conspicuously disclosed.

  8. Disclosure of Material Connections: Any material connections between DirectX and endorsers, bloggers, or influencers must be disclosed in accordance with the FTC's Endorsement Guides.

Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Department: Responsible for ensuring that all advertising campaigns are in alignment with this policy.

  • Legal Department: Tasked with reviewing advertising content for compliance with legal requirements and this policy.

  • Agents and Contractors: Required to adhere to this policy and the ethical standards of DirectX when representing the company.

Enforcement: Non-compliance with this policy can result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of contracts and legal action where necessary.

Review and Update of Policy: This policy is subject to periodic review and may be updated to reflect changes in legislation or industry best practices. All relevant stakeholders will be informed of any changes to the policy.
